Portrait of an Angel

Portrait of an Angel

A vision in my head of angel in white,

So strong in beauty giving a blind man sight.

God’s gift was my vision turned reality,

For today I wed my angel for eternity.

Being blessed with a merging of hearts,

Using the gospel of Christ and our Love will never be apart.

Sacred whispers of a covenant made by my soul,

With guidance from above to you I bestow.

As bright as the vespers of the night,

Making me forgetful to breath when entering your light.

Forever cherish you I will,

Through lifes rapids to calm waters be still.

And now I live as a husband and a father,

For you see we have also been blessed with a porcelain daughter.

Yes, the sacred brush of the father, the son and the Holy Ghost,

In vision has painted and given me my portrait of an angel.

He was an amazing man with grace and love, and always ready with a hug.

His life was filled being loved by all and respected by peers while playing with grandchildren on the rug.

Teaching us respect and giving us the gospel as he worshipped my mom and true love,

He always did the best he could while making us safe and praying for his family to god above.

He always would put everyone first as a patriarch, in friendship, through sacrifice so selfless,

Which taught us to always love first and give much while serving others creating situations so priceless.

Blessing other children with the hope of greatness with hard work and respect through sports he taught,

As well as employing our friends teaching them how to work hard as they made money and the respect they sought.

He loved hard with all his mite mind and strength, putting life together sometimes with a hammer and paste,

To everyone he knew because besides the gospel that became part of his personal faith.

There is one thing that he saved for just us four (Sheri, Sandi, Ronnie, Robert) in life when we wept or got near the cliff,

He would reach in his back pocket and say its ok as he wiped away our tears with that precious handkerchief.
